A PARENT-LED SCHOOL DAY
This is not “press play and walk away” school.
True Vine Christian School is designed for an active parent who wants to teach, guide, discuss, and learn alongside each child. Families should plan on dedicating roughly a couple of hours per child on most school days, with the exact time varying by age, pace, and the day’s activities.
Much of the learning happens away from the screen: reading together, handwriting, printed math practice, science observations and experiments, projects, physical activity, art, life skills, and real conversation.
Age-appropriate lesson timeFormal seated instruction starts shorter in Kindergarten, at about 90 to 105 minutes, and grows gradually as students mature. Grade 1 is about 2 hours, with roughly 15 minutes added per grade toward about 3¾ hours by Grade 8. P.E., outdoor movement, nature study, and similar active learning are separate from that seated-academic target.
